Rico Monaco Band is on a roll and gaining momentum after the release of two CDs WE ROCK YOU RUST II and it's partner We Rock You Rust Unplugged.  Hildi Brooks (Program Director and DJ) of WMMO 98.9 Orlando (Cox Music Group) featured the band's song BAM!  I See Red (unplugged version) on April 17 and May 29, 2016 on her popular Sunday Morning Acoustic show.  Other stations are taking notice and the band should be receiving more airplay over the coming months.  The band's music had been in rotation on a major station in Central Florida for years and this raised the profile of RMB quite a bit.

We Rock You Rust Unplugged released!

We Rock You Rust Unplugged (WRYR Unplugged) released April 8, 2016!  This is an acoustic based recording which features 8 songs from the electric WE ROCK YOU RUST II (WRYR II) release.  This recording demonstrates the talent, songwriting, and pure passion of the Rico Monaco Band.  The idea for this recording came about once Hildi Brooks, Program Director at WMMO 98.9 Orlando, heard WRYR II electric version which she said she loved.  But she asked producer Rico Monaco if he had UNPLUGGED acoustic versions of some of the songs.  He did not but told her he would soon!  The band then decided to go back into the studio in late February 2016 and re-recorded 8 of the songs that appeared on the WRYR II release and finished We Rock You Rust Unplugged in late March!  Hildi then featured the release by playing BAM!  I See Red (unplugged) on her very popular Sunday Morning Acoustic show on April 17, 2016!

We Rock You Rust Unplugged shows a very important dynamic and organic side of the band.  Since the electric WRYR II is NON-STOP rocking hard, the releases compliment each other very well.  WRYR Unplugged shows that the band and these songs translate very well into the popular acoustic format.  In fact the band will be performing some of the songs Unplugged at live shows and are even being asked if they could do completely Unplugged shows which they obviously can and have in the past!  Check out clips from all 8 songs in the video below.

We Rock You Rust II released

WE ROCK YOU RUST II by Rico Monaco Band is now available on many digital sites!
  
Rico Monaco Band (RMB) worked very hard to produce this release that contains 9 rockin' original compositions and 4 classic remakes as bonus tracks.  This recording ROCKS from start to finish.  RMB is a ROCK band with a touch of Latin influence and this recording makes a strong statement in that direction.  Vocalist Gregory Wilkinson is spectacular on many of these songs.  He demonstrates a style, range, and tonal quality that shows he is easily one of the best rock vocalists to come out of Florida in years.  Listen and you will hear it very clearly.  He also contributed lyrics to 5 of the original songs.  Percussionist Carlos Hernandez adds the color and spice to these songs which is the secret ingredient of RMB's sound.  The percussion provides a unique quality to many of the songs.  Drummer Robert Butkowski plays very rock solid grooves and serves the songs but adds important flourishes where appropriate.  Keyboardist Greg "Martini" Vadimsky adds important piano, organ, and synth sounds to the songs with great style.  He is a top notch performer that understands how to compliment a song properly.  Rico Monaco's guitar playing, songwriting, arranging, and producing talents shine throughout.  His work on these recordings and the other two he produced in the past 10 months sound this amazing for two reasons.  He poured thousands of hours of time into the entire process from songwriting, tracking, producing, mixing,and now promoting and his skill in all areas is obvious in these tracks.  On 3 of the songs there are powerful trombone parts and arrangements by Dean Dukes and  powerful Trumpet by Elton Reyes.
The band can easily fit in at Rock festivals or diverse events.  In the past, talent buyers would not consider RMB (RMSS earlier) for rock type shows which is ridiculous.  Now, with this release it is undeniable that RMB can rock with the best of them and still maintain our World/Latin influences!   It's time to spread the news of these recordings to the world!  Thanks for SHARING the music with your friends and family.  And if you have an extra few pennies please download the new recordings and give the band a much appreciated boost.
